I only have the Mugen coilovers for a suspension mod. The car rides much better than stock and corners on a dime. Not sure why the guys on s2ki say that coilovers dont make a difference??? Maybe they dont have their coilover setup correctly. Mine were dialed in by King themselves! I highly recommend them for suspension setups

nice setup... im still wondering how stiff ima be with my espelir springs and spoon x brace rear tie and front strut ima get them on and see then go from there. still about to go nutz about ground clearance im mean i should have enough but i got a somewhat sloped drive way and i dont want to scrape in and out i mean i had a del sol and had it on ground control coilovers and i couldnt go across anything without scrapping i mean that just did it for me so hopeuflly all will come out good.

good coilovers + good alignment + corner balancing the car.

that should pretty much do it. not much else to be honest with you. if autocross / road courses interest you, don't dump money on coilovers just yet. the driver does well in each of those and that is 90% of the task right there. the other 10%, which is probably more like 5%, is the car. keeping it stock, will give you a baseline to gauge where you need to improve as a driver, and will then help you chime in to what you need to do to the car itself.

if someone over at s2ki says you will see no benefits with coilovers, yes they are incorrect and you are probably in the wrong forum over there. I suggest you lurk a while in the racing & competition forum. lots of good info.

The only after market suspension I have experience with on the S is the Tein RS, combined with a Saner 32mm front sway bar...

It feels great on the street, nose dive feels to be completely gone under hard braking...

it will be track tested this weekend.

the owner is gerryk on s2ki.com

good coil-over's, alignment and corner balance... you will be amazed it's the same car...

ok i had talked to one of the guys i ordered the espelir springs from and i asked him HONESTLY what would be better cause he had a group buy goin on for the tein flex coilovers and the edc maybe or whatever allows you to adjust from inside the car and he told me to go with the espelir which suprised me cause normally they try to sell you the most expensive product which is 180 dollars to the tein group buy of a 1000 and something. he said every customer he sold them to loved the espelir springs basically and to just go with them and koni yellows? so do yall think that will be as good of a setup as the tein flex or some sort of coilover system??? just tell me your honest opinion, dont flame, and im off to sleep ill read responses in the morning

i bought the tein's over the espilers because of the adjustability factor... with the coilovers i can adjust the height.. with the springs i can't..... and the edfc is sweet.

other mods to suspension is cusco lower front brace, cusco front STB

and with this. i like the handling...i can take turns more aggressively...

only other issues I have heard (not experienced) with the JIC's is the excessive heat at track events. while if you are a novice track driver, or only go out a few times a year, you will probably not notice at all compared ot stock shocks. however, the heat issues can be an issue for most of the non-external reservoir coilovers. don't let it worry you though. still a nice setup for the dollar.
