i've heard so many ppl says that vafv wont work on 01 ITR due to the sense is different then the rest of ITR is it true?

 

Well I have a 2001 ITR and mine works fine.

Works fine if you pay close attention to the wiring schematic, and it's addendum.

 

Someone told me the same thing before, but guess what.. it works fine.

 

has the engine light ever go off on you guys when u hit vtec on 5th gear because mine doeswhen i first installed it i drove around and it was fine and when i hop on to the freeways the light goes on ad i redid the wiring twice what does this mean?

 

It means you need to double-check and solder all of your connections.

If you still have a problem, try another vafc and see if it's defective (possible I guess.....).

I know that people are having trouble with the outdated diagram that Apexi ships with their VAFC. It's a layout of the 98' ITR's wiring, the wiring of 2000 are actually similar to that of 00' Preludes. Maybe this is the problem 2001 models are refering to?

 

 

but ppl told me 01 model's engine sensor is different therefore computer wont do what VAFC tell it to do, senosr will sense that RPM is actually at piont where vtec should go in,but i guess it's not true. if u all say it works
