Default obd-2b gsr motor to obd-1 eg hatch

car: 1993 hatchback SI

swap:99 gsr with obd-b2, running a p30

prob:p30 5th gear drives back to 115-ish MAX

question: what ecu can i run that'll have 5th gear to redline?

also if i chip the p30 what are my selections/ set-up?

how are you running a p30 on a GSR motor? Im assuming that its stock. cause if it is u are losing the IAB function and the secondary butterflies are not opening.

The p30 is a 8296 Redline
Vtec engagement 5875
Top speed 115 MPH.

buy a p72 obd1 ecu from a 94 or 95 and it plugs right in, you will have to wire up secondary butterflies and a knock wire but your local tunner shop can most likely do that in short enough time you can wait for it to be done and shouldnt cost much. Dont mess with chipping the ecu go with a s100 or s200 hondata or neptune management system

the secondary butterflies are on all 94-up GSR manfolds. best bet would be to get a skunk/blox/Aebs manifold. then you would not have to worry about the secondary butterflies.
