HELP QUICK, IM IN THE MIDDLE OF MY SWAP
motor is in, everything is done, but my ecu isnt pluggin it, i gotta 98 ex with 97 ex motor and 98 ex harness, and a p2p, idk if p2p is obd2a or b, would this prevent me from pluggin in the ecu?
97 and 98 are OBD2 B 99-00 are OBD2 A i dont know for sure if it would stop it from plugging in but i think it would
this is my only car and im not pputtin the shitty harness on, should i try a new ecu? or do i have the wrong harness? there is a small grey plug that isnt pluggin in its 2 small for the slot

well the difference between a del sol and ek civics is in the wiring harness itself. in a delsol, the engine harness and interior harness meet at the shock tower and with the EKs, the engine harness goes straight to the ECU, hopes that helps u out.
as for the question up above, sounds like you have the wrong ECU or harness. 96-98 harnesses are the same but the 99-00 harnesses are different. I think the only difference is the ECU plugs. Dont take my word for it but thats all i know about this subject
edit, if all else fails, use the original engine harness and original ECU on the new motor

yah, i gotta 99-00 civic ex auto harness. guy told me it was 98 ex 5 speed harness... all u liar and scammers r garbage and ur lucky ur hidden by the internet bc id blast all of u.. anyway i had 2 rewire it 2 5 speed and buy a 99 ex ecu.. so bottom line, if u get caught scamming, atleast have the respect 2 tell the truth so some1 can fix it instead of spending 2 hrs switching harnesses for nothing... thanx for all the help 2 every1 in the post
