So I recently bought a tig for at my house and I only have one bottle, well that was for my wirefeed that I've had for a while. I had stargon (20/80 co2/argon) in it and after I bought the tig, I went and traded it in for a straight 100% argon bottle.

Now two questions,

1) If I hook this back up to my wirefeed/mig welder, will it weld fine,e.g. penertration and such be fine? Or what will it do...Will it work ?

2) What does it usually cost for a 10lb/#40 bottle to buy outright from a welding supply store. I've meant to ask the last couple times i've gone to have my bottle filled/traded in and kept forgetting.
