can anyone help wth diagnosing this engine problem video link inside.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1136356&page=3
its on the this page 3 link with the blue evo when im entering the S you can hear my engine stutter like its hitting the rev limiter but its not the rev limiter.
This happens when im going straigh or turning on full tank of gas, it happens when Im in vtec anywhere from 5000 -7500 rpm and going from FULL throttle to partial throttle thats when it stutters ....then I either have to let full off the throttle or push full throttle to get rid of the stuttering? Anyone have any ideas and what I should check.
so far ive done this. replaced motor mounts, checked oil, I have no check engine lights, zip tied my spark plug wires to distributor, battery is secure,
I thnk my timing is stock.. i checked it with my timing gun. the fuel pressure is set at stock settings i think 40 psi at full throttle. (i have a guage, and adj regulator)
My setup is b16 with AEM ITR CAI, TYPE R Intake manifold, stock b16 throttle, dc 4-1 integra dc header, to 2.5 inch exhaust piping to muffler no cat. O2 sensor in dc header, chipped p28 ecu with stock del sol program.
Im not sure if this has anything to do with it but i think i noticed it after i switched a cheap ebay intake to the AEM 3 inch intake and also replaced the stock dist with a new dist from dist king becuase my old one was failing. When i had the failing dist/crappy ebay intake it didnt stutter but i only ran it for one track day 2.5 or track time. after i replaced the dist/intake I noticed a HUGE jump in horse power (from my failing dist/crappy intake) but then i also noticed the stuttering not sure if that has anything to do with it though
thanks for any help
