Default stock ls vtec

what can i rev an ls vtec w/b16a2 head
just stock for the moment, want to drive around on it for the summer and then do pistons and rods but for now what is safe

the head will take 8.2k all day but the rods may be a problem. so i'd say safely 7500

The head can actually take 9k+ but that isnt what it was designed or intended for. With a stock internal LS/VTEC - STOP YOUR NOOB LEAD FOOT A 7800 OR 8000!

Dont make yourself another honda-tech statistic. So many people have complained about LS/VTEC's being unreliable and having problems. In 95% of those cases the people have just beat on it too hard. The other 5% I would say built it incorrectly.

As for the piston rod question:
P30 Pistons w/LS Rods, LS Crank & ARP Rod Bolts.
