thats easy with the LS, heres the list that attain your goals:

-crower 403/404 cams
-crower dual valvesprings and titanium retainers
-adjustable cam gears(crower or skunk2)
-skunk2 intake manifold
-intake
-headers
-exhaust

with proper tuning you should be able to attain around 150-165whp depending on how good you tune it.

now wheel horse power is different from the flywheel horsepower so its a difference. since you want 160-175 whp, i think you have to go with LS/vtec and build it strong

wrong, you don't need to go LS/VTEC for those numbers.

This is more like it. If you want more, improve your bottom end too.

BTW, either way is a decent chunk of change.

You have an LS/VTEC setup?

I've seen an LS/VTEC reach 200 WHP all motor.

With these mods and a vtec head, it sound be around 175hp to 190hp without any bottom end work(which isn't good).

I've seen a LS/vtec set up similar to mine with 180hp to the WHEELS and ran 13.2's all day. only thing the car was 2000lbs 500lbs less then mine.

this setup seems very reasonable. if i'll get 150-165whp then i will be happy. this is a daily driver, i'm aiming more towards a powerful street car, not a race car. anways, are there different kinds of skunk 2 IMs? i went to their website and it implied that they only one type for an ls. i'm looking for mid range power, so won't i need one specific for that? i doubt that IM's are one size fits all.....thanks
