tdc sensor location...
so..ive been running around in circles going crazy because of my faulty TDC sensor light and now my car is in "safe mode" and wont rev past 4k. i replaced the distributor housing but that didnt fix anything so then i thought maybe it was my s100 p28 ecu..maybe a sensor in my ecu was bad...so i replaced that but that did nothing..so was i misinformed? is the tdc sensor in the housing or do i need to replace the entire distributor to fix that sensor? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!! thanks guys!
Did you replace the whole distributor? Or just the cap?
The TDC sensor relies on a bearing that does go bad occasionally. You will need an entire distributor to fix the problem.

we replaced the distributor "housing" is what they called it...i dont think it was the entire distributor, but i dont think it was just the cap either...i know replacing the cap is relativly inexpensive and this was a little more than it would have cost to replace the cap but less than replacing the entire distributor....somewhere in the middle...but would the sensor have been in the housing? or is it deeper in the distributor?

Your CKP sensor crankshaft postion sensor behind the harmonic balancer near the crank snout
what about that sensor? do you think its that one instead of the tdc sensor? and a few people have told me that my car wouldnt even run if the tdc sensor was bad, is this true? or would it just keep it in safe mode like its doing?
