https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1139811

well, my underhood fuse blew again. this time the car kinda ran like crap (crappy idle) then cut off.

this only happened after i put a used o2 sensor on to replace mine.

Make sure the o2 sensor wires arent grounding out on something.

oh, and if i immediately replace the fuse after it blows, when i turn the key, the fuse blows out again.
i have to unplug the battery for about a min, and then i put a fuse in and it works fine.

Which fuse is blowing? And no I don't think a bad o2 would cause a fuse to blow unless its shorting out. (grounding on metal). And yes your car will run without an o2 and if its obd1 i don't think you'll throw a code but in order for you car to run properly you need need to have it installed.

my underhood ecu fuse, the 15amp

ok, i think i found the source of my problems. i took off my o2 and i found on one of the black wires. that it had exposed wire, the insulation was gone. it wasnt much but it is prob enough to cause a short

i put my old one back on so hopefully it will work
