Stolen Hondas/acuras
Hey guys, some of you have noticed how alot of integras have been getting stolen last month. A friend of mine just had his 96 civic with ITR motor stolen and stripped as well. I've personally noticed alot of theft is occuring in So Cal right now (not only here, but i notice it more since i live here).
Right now it's 1:43am and I've noticed a 90-93 accord in my neighborhood that has passed my house 3 times now and it's just cruisin around. I just called the police and they even called me back again to confirm the info and are sending someone right now
(in fact the cop just passed my house w00t!)
But ****, this just makes me worried that people are scoping out my car
I encourage everyone (especially those in so cal) to keep an extra close eye on their integras and all other honda/acuras. Be safe guys/gals

hm... a 90-93 accord you say? My friend notice a 90-93 Accord that was chking his car out a few days ago. All they did was park and stared for awhile and took off. Does this sound suspicious to you?

Most people probably dont even notice they're being followed when driving home. If anything, take a little more time and take different routes at different times....therefore locals have the idea that you're more of a visitor and not part of the neighborhood.

I've had the EXACT same thing happen before. My bedroom sits right above the garage so I saw them, walked out with a baseball bat (casually as if going to my trunk) and they took off.
My car is normally in the garage, but sometimes isn't able to be

I know they're often stolen, but I've noticed a surge of auto theft in just the past month.

little do people know but jackers pretty much know all the houses with fixed up cars. either they were followed or a friend of a friend told them etc. i find myself in the same predicament all the time...and i'm a paranoid as **** cuz of it. but i think its cuz of my paranoidness that has kept my car safe..*knock on wood* bottom line is don't leave ur car slippin...
1st time my GSR was stolen they followed back from lunch and I didn't even know. Security cameras showed them in what looked like an older accord pull in minutes after I went back to work with my pizza in hand and stole it in about 1 minutes and 30 seconds. The car had a well installed alarm at the time with ignition kill. I thought those sneaky little stalkin scum baggs
Bleh, crap like this (worrying over this car) makes me continue to think it's time to move on from Honda. Just not worth the hassles from thieves, profiling from cops, etc.
Even trying to stop the thieves doesn't work. My friend that I mentioned that had his civic stolen had a quick release, hood locks, locking gas cap, alarm, and kill switch.

Sad part about one time for my friend, he dropped off his car for a clutch change at his friend's house. Had alarm/kill switch/autolock. They couldn't start his car, so they use another car to ram it further and towed it away. BTW he left his car there only for four hrs too.
park it, kill switch, remove steering wheel, fuel cut off, take ur ecu inside, and remove a wheel. and lock it in the garage, and get a guard dog.
theft is scary, best way is to not tell ppl what u got all the time i guess.

I actually hope by now that everyone with a GSR, Type R, or Si knows that this theft is going on and tries to do something to prevent it (make it harder).
If you have a good view of your car, buy a wireless camera (as low as $300) to keep an eye out. Plus there are a lot of good ideas here....

being towed is the scariest thing. it doesn't matter how good your security is. all thieves have to do is tow it. i keep a wooden club by my door. if i ever hear my alarm go off, i will be ouside, beating the living **** out of the trashball. let's hope someone calls the cops before i kill 'em....anyways, i would like to get lo-jack, so the cops can track my car if it ever stolen
