wheel hop?
yea i have a 92 DA and i have massive wheel hop all i do is floor it though first soon as i hit vtec just starts hoppin what could be the problem motor mounts? i think only 2 are working right on my car, or tire or axles im not sure any suggestions.
well, if you suspect engine mounts, that's a great place to start. second, your car is old and ALL your bushings are probably turning to mush, including engine and suspension, both of which contribute to wheel hop.
wheel hop can also just happen on a perfectly brand-new car, all it is, is the car getting traction then loosing traction and so on. an ls since it is so torquey when you put good tires on one it will wheel hop sometimes, because the car wants to spin the tires but the tires are wanting to grab traction.

It sure can, my friends new CTS-V gets terrible wheel hop. Most people say stiffer shocks and a stabilizer bar can reduce it but since your car is a bit old you probably will need new bushings\mounts, too.
