so the problem is that every once in awhile i put in the key and try to start the car but it wont. all i hear is a sort of low hummm from what i think is the battery? and nothing from what u usually hear from when u start the car (not sure if that makes sense) and most of the time it will start if i take out the key or push the button on the alarm (which isnt even hooked up) any ideas on what the problem is?

 

low quite hum? Sounds like the fuel pump to me.

Can you hear it when you first turn the key to on and not start as well? If so that is the fuel pump.

If not, it seems as though it may be your kill switch in the alarm is starting to malfunction.

 

dayam this is really startin to bug me... and the problem got sorta worse as when i was driving around, when i came to a complete stop the car just turned off and the engine sounds like its goin to turn off any ideas of what the problem could be now?

 

Check you battery. You might want to replace you cap and rotor on your distributor. Also check your grounds maybe add some. Good luck hope you get it resolved.
