Turn on the lights and see if they are burnt out.

read your manual. then check the wire that's hooked up to the parking signal wire.

some alarms have a feature that is a stealth arming that doesn't do the lights or beeps, (guess for nice neighborhoods when you don't want to wake the neighbors )
anyway, maybe you've selected this feature somehow.
or is your alarm is no longer arming, then it might be in valet mode.

I don't think he'd want to announce where his brain is on a public forum.

Depending on what brand alarm you have, it could be a fuse (alarm fuse; not car fuse)

just bring it back to where you got it installed and have them fix it for you, it would be your best bet cause you don't want to mess with the brain cause it could just do further damage...good to know that the car is safe...GL

I have that same problem. I traced it back to the brain. The lead on the brain that outputs the park lamp function fried. The connector turned brown as did the wire attached to it. When the weather warms up, i'm going to cut the wire that is burnt and bypass the harness for it and attach it directly to the brain connector.

But ya, that's one possibility.
