Whats the best route to go w/ my stock motor?
I got a '95 civic coupe Ex. I hardly know anything about what the benefits/bad things that go with different motors, turbochargers, etc 4 my car. I want my car to be fast for regular street racing, but still use it as a daily driver. What are some options I have? and the good/bad? All I know is that I got a 1.5 ltr, w/ Sohc vtec. At first I was just gonna dump money into intake, exhuast, headers but I decided to w8 because it would be pointless if I can just save money for a swap or something else, that would be not too much money for more ''bang 4 the buck.'' I don't want a nitrous kit, but I looked into the turbochargers and I wanted to know if my stock motor that I have now could handle it. If you were in my position what would you do?(considering you most likely have more experience/knowledge).
you actually have a d16z6 if its a stock 95 ex. I say turbo it, buy a greddy kit, upgrade that with an intercooler and BOV. On the stock motor you are good to 220whp with a good tune. I was in your position not to long ago and i turboed my motor (d16z6) and am running uberdata (free engine tuning program) and do all my own tuning, but if you get power hungry like am upgrade the rods and pistons and maybe invest in sleeving or gettting a block guard at least
ok i know your 17 and your all about i want a fast car so i can street race...turbo your car...u can safely boost like 8 pounds..

yeah I would just swap it.

if he swaps it the only thing that would be worth it is a gsr or type-r motor if he wants reliability. He could go with an LS motor and boost that. But i WOULDN'T swap a b16 into it, its only marginally better than a z6 and isnt worth it IMO of course
