i installed my motor with no a/c belt. the a/c pulley was rubbing against another one.... at first i thought it was a leak in my gasket from the TB to the mani. anyways to fix it, i just released the tension raised the pulley up and tightened her down... problem fixed... hope it's just as easy as that.
added: it was pretty consistant then after i'd turn her off the sound would run down(get quieter and softer), until it was off.

starts up fine, Some times i think it is my alternator belt but would a belt make a scrapping noise? Usually when i turn my car off i can hear the air coming out from the intake. But not i hear a scrapping, I guess when i get home i will try narrowing it down. thanks for you help. I hope there is no big problems.

lmao wow, what random guesses, that point to absolutely nothing.. might as well be saying it's the cd player or something
where is the scraping noise come from? is it high pitched, or low pitched? does the sound slow down as the motor shuts off, or is it a constant sound? is the only time youve heard it when you shut off your motor? have a friend help you to pinpoint it.
