Sounds like a cricket is in my motor?
I have a B16a in my civic and when I'm just idleing it sort of sounds like there is a cricket in my motor. I believe I just need to replace my belts but I just wanted to get all of your opinions.

A cricket? Hmmm. Maybe a whirling type sound from wet belts slipping or something, but I dont really know of any 'cricket' sounds.

Let it idle, open the hood and stick your head in there. Try to locate which part is making that noise... It could be a bunch of things.

i had a noise sort of like that coming from my belts, they were fairly new so i just bought some belt dressing and sprayed them and the sound went away.
