Default 1996 Acura Integra Automatic RHD

I have a 1996 Acura Integra SE Automatic and im interested in swapping it into a Right Hand Drive and keep it as an Automatic. Does anyone happen to know what pieces I need to make this happen and maybe where I can get the pieces? How much it might costs just in parts? How to go about doing it?

you'll basically need a rhd front clip and you'll almost need to weld the front clip of the rhd onto the backhalf of your lhd. its really like welding two cars together, its quite ghetto. cost is probably 4000ish shipped for a front clip and you'll have to do some crazy work to do it or pay some shop alot of custom labor hours. total bill for a shop doing it would probably be in the 6000-8000 dollar range. really not worth it to me, just to sit on the wrong side of the car

A friend of mine thats heavily into the scene was talking to local body shop in southern california and they stated that there is a new law in California that there are no RHD vehicles that they are an Un Safe vehicle. They said skylines to civics all of them will be impounded I guess I wont be doing this anymore.

Your friend, and that body shop guy are idiots. Even if that was true, you think the California government want to pay back everyone who bought a skyline through Motorex? Pay back the registeration fees the civic and integra owners paid to the DMV/ CHP? Pay back Motorex all the money they paid to get the Skyline to be an approved car to import? They probably COULD make a law stopping MORE rhd's coming into the country, but even that isn't going to happen.

yeah i think you would be better off importing a jdm car or just finding a jdm car here somewhere. You're better off since the cost of swapping to rhd is really expensive.

btw why do you wanna swap to rhd? it's more dangerous driving a rhd here in the states.

actually all you need to do is drill out the tack welds, grind off the silicone, weld the new firewall in, and swap crossmembers.
biggest problem is you need rhd seats, interior front of the doors(including gas and trunk pop) and even need auto rhd engine harness.

Hahaha.

I HIGHLY doubt there is a new law about RHD. As someone already said, they would have to pay out a lot of money to people who already registered JDM cars.

i would just think it would be more dangerous. Example, if you're on a single road and need to pass up someone in front of you, you can't really see ahead of you, our roads are made for LHD.

I beg to differ. If we're putting people in the moon in super advanced machines, I think someone is capable of driving a right hand drive anyways.

If your not passing like a jack *** (and I don't mean this toward you VIRUSIIDX) then you have plenty of vision to see up the road. I'm talking at least three or four car lengths to give yourself enough run up to get it over with quickly...not riding someone ***.

driving a rhd in the states is easy, almost the same as lhd. ive have no problems with left turns, parking, drive thrus, freeway on ramps. you get so used to it its not a problem.
