Most cat-back exhausts are application specific and if you order one for your 97 DX coupe, then it will fit your 97 DX coupe.

Shouldnt you have a Cat in the mid of your car, like after the mid pipe, if you dont then no, i highly doubt it will run all the way to ur header....

no the cat is connected right up to the manifold on all dx model civics, but im figuring that the exhaust is car specific since i have to but in the car name and model and since its a cat back it should hookup to the cat on that car.

i have even seen some lx models that have had the cat right off the manifold. where the cat would normally be, like in the regular place on an ex, is there a connection or piping there that you could connect the new piping to? or what does it look like... can u take a pic? iv only worked with ex's so far on exhaust

Since they have a N1 model specifically for the '96-'00 DX, it will work on your car without any modifications.

the connection to the rest of the exhaust is right up to the cat so yea since they make a n N1 model for the 96-00 civic dx then yea it should work out right if it doesnt ill just send it back or get a header..

thanks
