Default What to do to Take of the clear coat!

Hey guys I'm getting a set of fat fives, but some of the clear coat is missing, whats the best wat to get it off, without hurtung the rim! ....-Roger

Very fine sand paper that you can get at Home Depot. I think it's 3000 grain, it's very fine and can get (depending on the size of your car) pretty expensive. It'll rip the clear coat right off without damaging the paint but be careful not to bare down too hard.

wet sand it... pretty much what the previous guy said.... or you could just totally strip it then clear it. ye ol' aircraft paint stripper

thats what i was looking for to strip all the clear and then re-clear it!...but i wanted to make sure that it wouldnt hurt the color/rim etc....-Roger

AIR CRAFT REMOVER... it will strip off the coat.. .then just polish the **** out of it

its in a aerosol can called aircraft remover,you can get it at autozone,hardware stores and its like 7 bucks a can.
