Default Removing Cruise Control

sup,
im currently running a 00' si em-1, b16 of course, cruise control is useless to me, and i heard it will bring the weight of the car down 50-100lb, how heavy is it? does it honestly makea difference? where would the cruise control be located under the hood? is it only one peice? thanks thanks

I heard it was like.......5 pounds. :\

But hey, if it makes your car .00000000003 seconds faster in the quarter, and your leg cramps up and falls asleep on long trips, then more power to ya!

I just tore a 94 civic ex down for parts, the cruise control consists of a cruise servo which ways 5 lbs at the most with a cable to the throttle body, and if its an automatic a kickdown cable to the transmission. So no, you won't loose 50 lbs from removing cruise control. Its not hurting anything being there, my recomendation is don't waste your time.
