Default wheel hop kills radio?????????youve gotta read this

So i was driving back from wawa yesterday and i was having fun in my d16z6 and i launched from the light and my car started wheel hoping a little which it does often but this time my radio stopped playing music. Once i got home and looked at it the radio is getting power it is reading cds hell its even playing the subs in the truck so it hitting and the headunit is definately getting power but nothing from the speakers??????? im so lost

Fairly common thing. It's usually a loose connection for the speakers, either at the speakers or at the head unit.

it also could be the speaker is touching some metal. i know it happened when i replaced some of mine. it just grounded out.

SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME AT THE TRACK THIS WEEKEND. TREE FELL I GASSED IT STARTED HOPPING AND MY FACEPLATE FROM MY ALPINE HOPPED ON TO THE BACK SEAT.

but all four speakers wouldnt work because of one grounded out speaker???

Just go through and check your wiring. You got subs so you have an amp I assume, check that and check your crossovers. When **** shakes **** breaks.

one grounded speaker will cause all speakers on that channel to not work (by grounding i mean shorting the positive and the negative of the channel)

happened to me when my amp slid underneath my speakers in my trunk

i check the wires the all seem good, i dont have an amp for the speakers the only connection is the wires in the back of the radio and all those check out,im pretty sure that the speakers arent all on the same chanel from the headunit but i will check mounting and wiring at the speakers.could i have just broke the headunit?
