i got a ek civic with the d16y8. it's making some sort of sound, like maybe a bearing or something going out. i thought it was the waterpump or belt tentioner, replaced everything..still does the same thing. it's coming somewhere from the front of engine, could be internal, u dunno. plz help...

 

What kind of sound is it? Does it do it all the time, only at idle, high rpms?

 

it's a winein sound, and it's going on all the time...it been going on since i bought it. i thought it was wp, tentioner.. sound's like it's coming frm the head but im not sure? and ideas?

 

Do this ....take off you ac belt. Turn on your car and see if it went away. I had the same thing on mine....it was the a/c . Sounded like a high pitch whining. Once I removed me a/c from my motor....it was all gone. I'm guessing it was the bearings in the ac?? Good luck...hope this helps
