Has anyone ever completely painted a steering wheel? For instance a stock eg steering wheel. The wheels grey and wearing away, im looking to paint it black. Is there a certain paint I should use if I try this. Anyone ever attepmted this without paint flaking or peeling off? Thanks

 

I dont know about that but if you do it.. use fabric/vinyl paint

 

Im pretty sure it would rub off from all the turning.

 

get a new steering wheel. i've never seen any good out of painting interior parts.

 

yea true i dislike painted interior parts, was just curious if anyone was successful with a steering wheel

 

it will be much easier and problly about the same price just to buy a black civic steering wheel

that year civic steering wheel is not in high demand so you should be able to find one pretty easy and very cheap

plus it will look horrible if you paint it, it wont look like stock it will look like you painted it and will scuff and peel and chip off

My steering wheel was the same way so i just bought one of those steering wheel covers with the flames on it.
