Default Mini Me/Head Swap Help

Alright I just put a new d15b7 head onto d15b7 block. The head was running perfect in the other motors, and the block was running perfect how it is now.

Everything is hooked back up, but not starting.

It feels like the car is almost going to go over, but then it doesnt. Doesnt start at all. Also since it hasnt started I dunno if there are any cel's. I've checked all hoses and plugs, everything looks good. Also spark plugs are good, but I dunno how to check for spark.

What should I be looking for, any ideas?

It's in a 93 CX is p05 by the way. Any help?

Also I've loosened up the distributor and slowly moved it around while trying to turn it over. Nothing changes...

Are you getting fuel? Are the plugs wet?

I'm pretty sure I am getting fuel, how exactly do I check?

The plugs arent wet with water or anything.

Can't get your car running on a D(noteen) and you want an h22? Does the CEL go on initially for the self checks before the engine starts? I hope you marked the dizzy? Check and recheck all connections. Where are you located?

Yeah, listen to him and check timing. And also try to get a p06cecu, which is for the d15b7 motor that you have.

I was using p05 previously with the CX. Would p06 really make a difference? I'll look around for one.

The CEL just stays solid if I turn the key while trying to jump. Doesnt spit out any specific codes, never goes off either.

Take the distru. out then put both crank and cam tdc. if timing is correct your distru. rotor should be lined up with #1 plug. if not redue timing.
2. If timing is correct and plug wires are in correct position car should start,if not
check these things.
3. spark-: take one of your plug wires out of a cylider along with the spark plug,
(plug should remain inside of wire) hold plug close to a valve cover bolt, then
crank the car,you then should see spark. get some assistance when doing this.
4. you should be able to here your fuel pump when you switch you car on,you can
also crack your fuel line and see if any spray out.
5. Remember, if your MAIN RELAY is bad you will get none of the 2.
6. check altenator solenoid valve fuse.
good luck
