Sorry I cant answer your question, but if it does turn out to be true, you could get a 3 year aliment for like $110 at your local tire store and they'll do your aliment everyday till its been 3 years.
If you want to get the maximum life out of your tires then I would say yes. But also a true 4wheel alignment not just toe and go also helps your car when launching
