OT preparing my car for a road trip.
I'm gonna drive from New York to Florida during spring break in a 97 accord ex with 68k.
What maintenance should I do besides the oil changed, tire pressure check ect?
Any tips that an average person doesn't know?

just make sure your car is in good enough shape to make the trip safely...other than that you should be fine...and use premium for the better gas milleage...
Do a basic tune-up if necessary. Airfilter, sparkplugs, etc. Check the brakes and see if there is enough meat on the pads.
just change the oil if it needs it soon, check tires, tire pressure, top off all the fluids if they need it. check the brakes.
bring some tools with you ( i keep a small socket set with standard and metric)and a quart of oil and some coolant in case you need it. bring extra light bulbs (i.e. headlight and turn signal bulbs)

This is correct.
Unless you have a H22, or a higher compression, you don't need to spend the extra money.
