Default sohc turbo vs. b16 (boost heads come)

I have a 96 hx. The engine sucks so the only choice i have is to swap. Overall what do you guys think what would be a better choice for me. I'm not looking for crazy numbers all im looking for is a quick daily. I don't want to dig too deep into my pockets, im thinking around 2500-3000 will be my budget. Overall what would be better and what would be cheaper.

SOHC
pro's
Faster than b16 and most n/a honda engines stock

Cons:
reliablity?!

DOHC
Pro's
NA = reliablity (right?)

Con's
Expensive
slower

Flip a coin. Doesnt matter which way you go they both can be as reliable as the other, if done right.

dump all 2500-3000 on the sohc and u can have a built sohc with a peiced turbo kit that will beat any *stock b16 all dayIMO at that price range= pros..cons=..... time

SOHC Turbo > Stock B16 Swap

I have a stock D16Z6 turbo and I make more torque than the B16 makes wheel horsepower. Btw, my stock D16Z6 @ 7psi will do high 13s.. I don't think a stock B16 swap will give me those ETs.

But if I had the money to spend.. I would turbo a B-series without a doubt. That's probably what I'm going to do in the future.

You are very confused.

Go with sohc turbo.. you'll make more power than you will with just a b series swap.
