Default Tranny leak at axle seal

I have a '89 crx si with 5 speed tranny. With the car sitting on jackstands, I have a slow leak at the axle seal on the passenger side, so I replaced the seal. It still leaks slowly, even just sitting on jackstands. My axle is an O'Reilly's w/ lifetime warranty, and it seems to fit in the tranny splines fine. When the axle is installed, there's a 3mm gap between the tranny housing and the cv, but it looks that way on the driver's side.

Is something else wrong with the tranny, or should I try another axle seal?

Did you install it properly? I had the same problem - leak on the passenger side due to a chewed up seal. I replaced the seal and used a piece of exhaust pipe (taped up to prevent scraping) to tap it in properly. I did that and my leak went away.
