Default Axle Seal Leak

I have a '96 Civic that leaks tranny fluid from the axle seal. I recently had the transmission replaced and it continues to leak from the same spot. The mechanic has changed the axle seal twice but still leaks. He says it's because the car has been lowered which is causing the axle to bind against the seal. Anyone ever heard of this? I would think if it's true, it would be leaking from both sides, however it's just the passenger side. Any ideas before I put the OEM springs back on??

your axle might be worn where it enters into the tranny. lowering the car should not be a issue/or effect. I would get a new axle and new seal from honda and make sure you grease it before you install it.

make suer the yoke is all the way pressed in so the little c clip locks into the tranny, it might not be pushed in all the way.
