Default Distributor question

Ok i have a quesion about wire shielding.

Ive recently upgraded to obd1 and im using a obd2 dizzy. I cut the obd0 clip off of my wire harness so i could solder on a obd2 ls dizzy clip. The clip i bought has about 4 inches of wire but doesnt have the shielding around them do you think everything will be ok.

And yes the wires do have the rubber stuff around them, im talking about the type of shielding that filters out radio noice

Hmmm, well your exactly right about what that shielding does (filters out radio noise), but there really isn't anything you can do but tape it up real good. I don't think you will have any problems with the radio noise, but if you do, I beleive they sell some sort of resistors that act as noise filters for your radio.

You won't have a problem. Look at how much of the wire is unshielded in the factory connector by the distributor.
