was going to go get gas this morning but when getting in my car and trying to start it, it would just crank over but wouldnt start. i checked everything but came to the conclusion it was my ignition coil so i went and bought a new one, installed it but it wouldnt start again. i pulled my spark plugs out to check and they didnt seem to look "wet" so i got my friend to try starting it without number 1 spark plug in. i had a flashlight seeing if i was getting fuel in the cylinder but it didnt seem like it so now i think its my fuel pump. if you have experienced this or know how i can fix my situation please let me know. thanks

no. but i just got finished trying to jump the relay. well i can hear the fuel pump come on but i tried starting it and it would just crank over but not start.

i just checked to see if i was getting any spark and im not getting any spark either. so im not getting spark or fuel. is there a fuse that controls both?

 

did you ever check ur distributor coil for spark, don't assume like i have. i'm in the same situation ur in but i know i'm not getting any spark??? get a helms manual and it'll tell u how to check it, or even a chiltons.

 

i just checked my ignition coil for resistance and its getting .8ohms primary and 15.5ohms secondary. i also checked my ignition control module to see if it was getting bettery voltage and i got 10.52V which seems reasonable.

 

have you checked every part in the dist. and the 12v main

 

could you tell me how to check the 12v main? and what am i suppose to look for voltage wise?

 

i had similar problem bfr
take one spark plug out and let it crank and see if it sprays fuel out of the hole
or
crack a little and then take one spark plug and look and smell for fuel
let me know if you are getting it or not
