Three different compounds. Supposed to be coming out Q2 2005 so I guess we'll see it around 2007?
Any thoughts?

Sean,
I'll be running them along with Ian Carpenter, Andrew Zimmerman, and Leo **** (all four of us are running H4 Integras).
I hope to have a set for the first SCCA MARRS race in April. the tire is claimed to be just as fast in testing as the Hoosiers.
IM Ian....he will have more information !
Regards,
Jon P. Kofod

Im not sure if these are the same tires the USTCC guys now run, but if they are, they recivied them on march 3 (thursday). I asked them if they were they haven't responded yet
The new Hankook sticky compound is fast but last somewhere around what you would expect from a Hoosier from what I have read. Some of the "front runners" in the very competitive Spec Miata in SCCA are switching to Hankooks which I am sure half of it may be sponsorship/subsidy but they would not run it if it could not hang with the Hoosiers. Looks like a tire war is heating up or something which usually means more $$$$$$ to go racing.
Hankook kind of screwed things up though for series that had spec tires that listed a range of tires including the Hankook for longevity and bang for the buck (as in not Hoosier). They used the new softer compound on the same casing and model number as the "regular" Ventus and made policing a bitch.

BUMP. Yeah, you guys thought this was another Z212 thread and were itching to **** down my throat, didn't ya?
Searching Google, apparently some distributors have 'em already. I'm curious why Discount Tire stopped carrying the Z211s. Apparently its the same compound as the Z211's (check http://www.hankooktireusa.com/...e.pdf for all the available compounds and whatnot).
Who knows the SCCA ruling on tire availability date and whatnot?
Nice to see Hankook step up to the plate here.
