i just got my hatch out of the body shop and nowit has rod knock i think.....does this mean it has a spun bearing???i really don't want this car unless it's not too much of a hassle to replace bearings someone let me know what else it could be

 

if it has spun a bearing, the oil light should be on, and if it is spun and on, new bearings will not fix it. you need to re-size the big end of the rod and machine the crank. put a manual oil pressure gauge on it and see where the oil pressure is. and go from there.

 

what is rod knock? can u hear it? hows it sound? let me know...i have a funny sound when i tap on the gas when im at idle...only happens at idle...when i put my stock obd2 ecu it doesnt have that sound...only happens when i have my chipped p28 in...

 

yeah you can hear it, and when you do you know it's bad....you probably just need a valve adjustment
