should i sell my car and start over or just buy a swap?
ok it seems like something is always going wrong with my for only having 85k miles on it and its get really overwhealming where i dont even want it anymore. ive put $1000s into it and something still goes wrong and it will soon need another tranny and possible a hg. heres the dilemna im facing, give me your opinion.
1. return my car completely to stock and sell it
or
2. buy another eg with black interior(mine is doo doo brown) but w/out a motor and then get a gsr swap.
or
3. keep my car, get a swap and buy black interior.
i figured if i sold my car and then bought a car w/out a motor and then dropped one in there i could save some money. the body of my car is pretty good condition for it being 12yrs old. please give your honest opinion. thanks

well I dont see how you put thousands into to.. I dont see what parts on the car would even come close to costing that... I'd sell it only becuase I dont like the brown interior
2 clutches and one trany that i had a shop put it, came out to 1900. and now it will need another tranny soon
i have no idea, the first one was because it was slipping so i had to get another one, and then the tranny went out so i got one of those. then 3 months it was fine and i had trouble putting it in gear and i took it to the shop and he said it was my clutch, it broke to pieces thats y it wasnt disengaging, so that was the scond one. ive only had it for like 15k miles too

I'm in exactly the same position you are. I have a 93 black EJ1 (tan interior
) and have had to spend about $1400 on random stuff, in one year of ownership. I cant tell you how many times I've wanted to get rid of it, but all in all I love my car. So I'm going to stick it out. Hopefully in the next month or so I will be getting a swap for it. I would advice to keep it. Good luck on whatever you decide

yea, we have a love/hate relationship. i love her but i hate putting out all this money, she hates the way i drive her so hard, but loves how i replace everything before im suppose to so she stays healthy. i think im just gonna stick with it. next weekend i plan to change the headgasket, water pump and flush the radiator. hopefully that will be the end of my worries atleast till my swap.
I say just keep it and start over, thats what I did or should say im doing,I put it back to stock and started all over from the suspension and brakes up im not going to worry about the motor until that is all completly done.Goodluck with whatever you decide.
