Default Car worth more with swap?

is a car worth more with a swap when you're selling it? I have a 96 hatch with LS motor/SI tranny. would it be better if i swap in a stock motor and sell it?

un-modded cars always sell for more than modified cars. if you have a swap in it... it will prolly sell for more than what its worth, (private seller) that is.

You'd have to market it to the right crowd.

yeah any true tunerhead will not buy a car thats already been modded unless they know the person selling the car personally. but i dont think u wilkl have a problem selling the car just market the car towards wanabee racers and u will get top dollar. i have a friend who sold his 92 civic 4dr w/a b16 motor for 5500 and his car had issues and some young kid bought it

sell acar that is hooked up is hard because you are trying to get some of the money back that has been invested although that is not how other people see it they will pick and point the nick and cranies of the car so that you keep briging the price now for exaple i am selling my eg hb for 6500 over priced just cause i know the car is not perfect and i iwill be made to nego. for 5500 which is what i will take so on the topic it is easier to sell a stock car (if anybody knows anybody looking for a turbo hb with 1.5 ex give me a call 954 605 2896)
