Whats the top speed for those who have a built motor? lets say 300hp+

 

it is all in the gearing. contrary to popular belief, no matter what you do, less building an engine that spins 12k, a motor will not give you more top end. sooner or later you will run out of gear. it will just get you there quicker. when i was 250 whp on my civic, 135 was about all. that was 8000 in 5th gear. i could be wrong, so correct me if i am.

I run out of gears at 160 with a B16A2 tranny. Thinking about changing it though.

 

it all depends on what engine and what tranny you have... just saying a built civic isnt enough info to tell you much
