JDM D15 VTEC can it use the USDM D15 CX harness?

 

yes you just have to add a vtec wire, unless it is a 92 and i belive 93 cx, those are pre wired. Do some searching on what all it takes.

almost. no CX harness will ever have vtec wires in it. on all 92 civics, vtec is pre-wired from the ECU to the shock tower plugs.

 

ok I have a 94 CX HB what about that year?

i knew it was something like that. iono my car came with vtec..yeaa buddy no adding of anything

Dnt think so. its not hard to wire it in. there are somewrite ups on how to do it, and what pin to add on the ecu. i think its d6 or a6 or something like that iono.

 

I HAVE A 94 DX HATCH ''EG'', SOON TO SWAP IN A D15B ,UR SAYING I DONT NEED A SI'S HARNESS , WILL MY EXCISTING HARNESS WORK WITH OUT MODIFICATION AS IN SPLICING AND WAT NOT? ANY IN WOULD BE COOL..THANX

 

if u listen you harness will work. i have a 94 cx which i swapped a d16z6 into. it all plugs in. all u have to do is run 1 wire from the ecu to the VTEC solinoid, and one wire from the ecu to the oil pressure switch. its very simple. the oil pressure switch also need to be grounded. there is two prongs in it hook the wire from the ecu to one prong and then run another wire from the other prong to ground. just search for the pins that you run the wires from.
