is that the p06 ecu? i know the dx's got the p06 not sure about the cx. if it is in fact a p06 you can add certain components to make it vtec.

92 Cx's are not v-tec ready. The ecu is a not v-tec ready and neither is the wiring harness. I have a 94 cx and swapped in a d15b and had to get a p28ecu and a d16 wiring harness. Hope that helps

a 92 CX has the VTEC wiring from the ECU to the shock towers.
a 92 CX's ECU(P05) is not VTEC capable the way it sits, but it can be converted. It can be converted to use a 4-wire O2 as well.

some early 93s came wired for VTEC to the shock towers as well.
This has been proven and is in the sticky at the top of the forum.

to run a z6, yes an EX/SI ECU (P28) is best.
