F22 series head shaving/milling, how much?
How much material can I shave off a F22 series head and still be OK with all the stock valve train, pistons and todays fuel?
Thanks for any answers

which f22? my f22b2 is stock about 8.8:1 - my pistons brought it up to about 10.7:1. I run 93 octane with no problem. You're not gonna get anywhere near that compression ratio by just shaving off a little bit.
If you're just cleaning up the head/deck, you'll go up a little bit. You'd probably still be fine with 87oct but might want to up it a bit I guess depending on what your goals / driving style is.

I forgot to tell you I have a F22A1 1991 series engine. I want to leave the pistons stock and just shave the head. I just dont know how much I can get away with and be safe with the stock intake manild and valve train.

Well you can figure it out if you know all the dimensions. What are you trying to accomplish? Just raise compression, make more power?
I *think* the deck height of that motor is 8.643 inches. The combustion chamber is 50.5cc, not sure how many cc's the pistons are. The bore and stroke are 85 and 95mm respectively.
There's calculators out there to figure it all out. I gotta run right now though.
