Hard time getting in to first gear
As the title says; hard time getting in to first. All other gears seem fine. Symptoms seem to be less servere once the car gets warmed up and going.
Is it possible this would be the clutch? I would think it would then affect all gears.
I am thinking it may either be the first gear synchro or the shifter bushings?
Looking for some help/input before I go to the dealer and try to get them to fix it.

first gear isnt syncronized.
could it be a shift fork causing the problem?
bump for a interesting question.
btw, b/c first gear isnt syncronized, if you try to throw it into first from a roll you wont be able to do so without a good rev match.

Interesting, I never knew that. That explains a lot.
Hmm, well then I wonder what the problem is.

My R does it also, I have to back up a huge driveway to get out and then struggle into 1st all the time. At the same time my 2nd gear feels very notchy and grindy also.
As stated before the problem stops once the car/trans is warmed up a bit.

Have you tried going from R to 2nd, then to 1st still with the clutch pedal down?
I seem to recall having to do that back in the day.
