I have oil presure....
ya pritty much I just built my first motor Lsvtec and I have zero oil pressure at the head. I have bin running a Ls ecu with the vtec on a switch. this is just for now till I can get everything working before dynoing it. but anyway I can hear the solenoid working when the the car is off but it still wont switch over when running. I just bought a gauge that I have mounted off the the head right under the valve cover on the front left of the motor (up and to the left form the header). the gauge reads zero when idling or reeving pass 5g's. I try ed not to cut any corners when building so nothing is really to getto. I also got a new OEM itr water/oil pump it's a 99Ls block 2000b16a2 head. any help is much appreciated
Make sure you external oil line running to the head is clear of obstruction and is not bent or pinched. Are you running the line from the oil pressure port on the back of the block or an oil filter adapter/sandwich?

I see you have another post going too.You need high oil pressure to physically engage the vtec rocker pins.
