is it possible to swap an integra type-r engine in a civic
Ok ... I'll bite.
Yes ... it is called a hybrid, you can find more information on this in the hybrid forum.
The Civic can take b16 (vtec civic motors), b18 (from teg ls to type r), even b20's from the CR-V.

No, it won't work... Didn't you know that a Type-R motor is an Acura motor... and Acura motors don't fit in Hondas? You can only use REEL Honda motors in Hondas... Cause if it is NOT a Honda motor you will be a ricer by using a NON-HOnda motor. If you want a bigger motor for your Honda, why don't you try fitting a REEEAL Honda Odyssey MOTOR... that would give you MADDD Honda torque yo... and still be VTEC!!!
Seriously... forget Acura stuff... Honda all the way!

yes it is possible... and many people have done it already... read more about it in the hybrid forum... u can even put a prelude motor into a civic but u need custom mounts for that and they do make the car a little front-heavy which basically screws up the handling of the car unless u mess with the suspension...
hmmmm id say if you have to ask then no
you should just buy some spoon motors and hook that up wit NOS
heres a good resource though http://hybrid.honda-perf.org/

i would also have to say relocating the battery to the trunk and taking as much outa the front of the car as possible with heavy rates in the back with a big rear sway bar

Does anyone know how you would "mess" with the suspension to make the car handle properly with a heavier engine in the front. I'm thinking the only way to do it is to make the front adjustments different than the rear on adjustable shocks, and maybe put different spring rates. But then if the latter is the case, which spring rates would offer the "perfect ride". Anyone have good experience with this?
