HONDA CIVC MOTOR SWAP WITH THE SRT-4 or LANCER EVO!!!
I was wondering if it would be possible to put the Lancer evolution engine or the SRT-4 Engine in a honda civic ? Has anyone done it or no some who has ? Is it difficult ? is it possible ? This would be an excellent sleeper. Let Me Me know. Thanks

why would you want to, you can make a "excellent sleeper" with a honda motor there no need to go outside the the honda family to make a fast car. anything is possible with the right amount of money but i wouldnt do it with the same amount of money you could get a honda motor and make it just as fast if not faster

well then go buy a Evo, putting brand X engine into brand Y car is bastardization. of course I feel that an H22 into a Civic or Teg is also bastardization. Tell you what, just read up a while and learn what these engines can do, you'd be impressed. I've asked silly questions too, so no hard feeling.

I like YOU but YOUR cRAZY mAn!!
**** that the money and time to do sumthing like that not 2 mention a EVO is all wheel drive.
you can have a 8 sec honda ... with a honda motor in it.
if u were able to drop a srt-4 motor in a hatch it would proably run 12s or 11s stock. but thats after spending 15grand getting it done not to mention getting the motor.
waste of time for the results. everything sucks honda is the way !!!

why the hell would you want to do that.....first off the SRT-4 is seriuosly gay.
and for what that would cost it's not worth it. oh and the guy at the dodge dealership told me that the srt-4 has the same motor that the 99 eclipse GS-T did.......
you could have a turbo b16b and that would be a good sleeper.

Re: (tofu9000)
Good lord, you guy's can't answer anything without it turning into a big flamefest can you?
I've seen pictures of a Civic with an older Eclipse motor in it. The toughest part is going to be wiring and then getting a transmission to put that power down. Yes you can do it with enough time, effort and money. Is it worth it? Not to me.
You'll be out upwards of 5-6k before you end up getting it in the car (by my estimates) and for that you could drop in a B18B, boost it and make the same amount of power with a LOT less hassle.

Oh and to answer his question, I have never heard of anyone doing this, but IMO, you could spend a lot less money on about 20 other swaps with just about a much power and it would be a lot less hassle as well. I think that is the general concensus.

Exactly. I can't believe we were the only two to catch this.

A stock b18c1 with a turbo kit can easily make more than 270 at the crank.
It will cost less too.
I think thats the point he was trying to make.
