Default bulb size (not headlight its interior) 4th gen.

well i have been doing alot of reading about the 4th gen. i also have traken mine apart several times just to look around and get the fell for it.

but one thing i havent read or done yet. is figure out the bulb size of the Cuirse control switch. the one not on the steering wheel. mine seems to flash at me then just turn off. so the bulb is going bad or a crappy wire connection.

either whats the bulb size? how do you get that switch off?

IIRC, it's not a bulb, it's an led.

You're talking about the green light on the cruise control switch right?

i think hes talking about the light that lights the whole switch up when you turn on the headlights....

in that case its a little 3mm bulb with a holder, they are the same bulb that is in the sunroof and dimmer switches, as well as the hazard light switch.....

In that case, you should be able to pop off the switch using a flathead wrapped in a towel or newspaper. (wrapping the flathead in a towel or newspaper prevents damage)

It should pop right off, if it's like the 5th gen, it's held on by 2 metal clips.

the switch has to be "serviced" from behind....

take the 3 switch thing out of the dash, disconnect the wiring harnesses, and then look at the back of the cruise switch....the bulb is on the back.....just take it out like a screw, half a turn and then let it fall out.....

Yes it will, it has happened. I'd rather use a towel though. Pry it and pop it off.
