Default 5th Gen Turbo Exhaust - Need Help!!!

I own a '98 Prelude Type SH. I cannot find any 3inch exhaust for my Type SH Prelude-Turbo. I have realized that I need to build a custom turbo exhaust. Please share me your knowledge on how to setup my turbo exhaust.

I currently, have a 2.5inch down pipe, a stock catalytic convertor , and Apex N-1 Exhaust.

Your knowledge is greatly appreciated !!!

Thanks,

Syed

Get a new cat, that's a major restriction.

Drive on over to an exhaust shop or performance shop that deals with exhaust, tell them what you want, if you want resonators, whatever.

Use a magnaflow muffler, they sound nice

Welcome to H-T, by the way.

i got the 3" kit from http://www.kteller.com/store/, but i suggest just buying some 3" bends and taking them to an exhaust shop and having them make it for you. also, you'll want to get a resonator to kill the sound a bit. i have the long one from k-teller ($60) and the exhaust sounds really good. you'll probably need 2- 90* bends, and 3- 45*'s, but don't hold me to that. get a good 3" muffler too. the k-teller kit was 225 i think, and the resonator was 60, and my str muffler was 200 i think. but like i said you should just buy the bends and you'll save a lot.

I currently have a flex pipe already.

My Apex N1 cat-back exhaust is 2.25 inch.

Hopefully this website will help me out......

Thanks,

Syed

well you can just sale that, because it's gonna put a chokehold on your power. 2.25" shoul only be used for n/a.

There is so much restriction. I feel it everytime when I give it some throttle.

I need to upgrade my exhaust ASAP....

Definetley go with kteller.com, fast shipping and I've heard nothing but positive things about them. I'm still waiting to get the turbo on before I put on the 3" exhaust but it got here in only a few days. to kteller.com

the only thing about the k-teller kit is that it hangs a bit low, especially if you have a lowered car. also, you'll have to take it to an exhaust shop to have it installed and welded up, unless you can weld it yourself. i also had to modify mine a bit to fit the resonator in there......but no big deal.
