i read quite a few different threads via the search function and i came to this conclusion:
i need to loop the power steering lines that come off the rack and i need to put a T-fitting in the middle of that line connected to a resovoir of some sort so that the rack can breathe (so there wont be air pressure in the rack)
i understand this.
but they also said "When you have two barb fittings you will need a hose to connect them or double back into itself."
whats a barb fitting (pics maybe?) and what does "double back into itself" mean?
heres the thread im referring to: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=184202&page=1
thanks

The ones on the left are the barb fittings - they're adapters to go from A/N --> hose. Doubling back in this context just means running the hose straight from one fitting to the other w/out a breather.

From me.
I've still got all the parts I used to do it on mine - I had the bypass on the car for a little less than 2 weeks before I reinstalled the power steering. Look for my comments in the other current thread on the subject to get my impressions . . . .
I bought the Aeroquip fittings from http://www.racerpartswholesale.com.

since you have done this before... are the two hoses (the ones that will be looped) the same diameter on the inside?
it looks like your two barb fittings are the same size so im assuming they are.
and why did you put the powersteering back on?

The size of the hose is whatever size you buy . . . . I used 3/8" ID.
I reinstalled the power steering because it was miserable without it. Read here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1157246

thanks.
those fittings are the same size as which the ITR uses.
M14x1.5 to -6AN
M16x1.5 to -6AN
i used a small amount of Aeroquip hose connected to a breather bottle from Jazz Racing Products (http://www.jazproducts.com) and mounted to the firewall where the heater hoses used to pass into the cabin.
I'd suggest using shallow hose fittings (45°) attached to those AN adapters to clear the subframe (it's very close, but not seen well in this pic).

hey, bdb sorry to ask again. I have look through the site (http://www.jazproducts.com) but seen no price. and i was wondering whats the total price it cost you to finished your mod..
BDB, how is driving the car around now with your setup? Any chance you have another picture of that but from father away from the engine bay? I can't quite visualize it.

no worries. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for it, but I'd imagine somwhere around $50-$60 USD. i ended up calling them and ordering over the phone.

steering is heavy at slow speeds, but very nice when at speed -- you can feel more through the steering and it feels much more precise. i like it lot. it's hard to see from farther away since the IM is in the way and this bottle is half way down the firewall, but I might be able to get you better pics.

Try that. I found that a while back and it seems like it would work pretty well.
