Default if i got a Type-R.........

What would i need to spin that motor to around 9.800-10,000 rpm i know it sound silly but what would i need besides porting.oil control ( pan baffels, cooler ) and water jacket mods?

You're right... it does sound silly.

There is no power that high with stock cams... I don't think Toda As, Bs, or even Cs need to spin that high to make max power.

RPM = Ruins People's Motors

Too much of a good thing... isn't.

No offense, but if you're gonna do something that silly, just start with a B18C1. Why waste a typeR engine for that insanity?

I think revving up to 9000 wouldn`t ruin your engine.

All you need are things like a valvetrain upgrade, an aftermarket ecu and cams which allow you to make power up to this.

Don`t plan to rev up to 10k. I`ve seen only one dyno plot of an R which makes power up to 10k. Unfortunatly I can`t reach the guys website. His name in Alex Woods (?? if I remember right) and he`s from Italy... Very impressive, making 267whp. But don`t ask me about the mods... it`s one year ago since I last visited his page..

You need a REV limit free ECU, thats all HE really needs

Yes, I think you should go for it. Even though it will destroy the engine, that will be one less ITR out there to be stolen.

Hey guys it was just a question. i already knew that i could do it just wanted to know if any has done it with out blowing there motor. If Spoon can rev a N1 car to 12 k and Stephen papadakis can go to 10k on a lude engine thaen i can go to at least 9800 or 10 k on a b18c1....... just making conversation guys>; )
