What is the differnnce between a 92-95 Honda Civic EX, DX, and SI Tranny? Thanks

Gearing. The EX and SI are the same gears, the DX is a little taller (read slower)

Yes, but if you're buying a new tranny for a d-series, buy a 96-00 Ex tranny. (y8 tranny) Same gears as the 92-95 EX/SI but it has stronger shift forks.

 

I am buying a new tranny so does everyone suggest the d16y8 tranny?

 

only if its a good price, its just because of the shift forks, thats it!
