Default Are 16x7.5 Wheels OK For Our Cars?

Waiting for almost 2 hours to get my winter tires installed on my stock rims wasn't fun at all. So I want to buy some 16x7.5 Kosei K1 (in Anthracite) and make them my dedicated summer wheels. Anybody running wheels of this size and if so, what tires (size & brand) are you using?

J7,5 16`` is okay I think.

Eats up 5 percent torque compared to 15`` (no matter if overall diameter is the same). Had been a big thread at sho and one of the moderators brought on the mathematical proof.

But 16`s look better than 15`s.

I'm more concerned about the 7.5 width. People with 16 inch rims usually have 16x7.

No idea what the offset was because Tire Rack isn't very informative. For those of you who's interested, the Kosei 16x7.5 in Anthracite is coming out on Feb 27th for $159.

16x8 work fine in +47 offset... 215 or 225 in 40 series should be comparable to stock (in terms of total diameter/ acceleration, etc).....

Isn't the benefit of 16" over 15" rims better traction?

What exactly eats up the torque, the width or what? And if it is the extra width what kind of ratio is it, like for every added inch to the width you lose 5% torque or what.

Rotational weight of a 16`s is higher than of a 15`s.
No matter if the overall diameter and overall weight is the same..

Would send you the link but sho is down.
